Science and engineering are often thought to be the same, however, there is a clear distinction between them. While both fields of study focus on problem-solving and critical thinking skills, science focuses on discovery while engineering focuses on innovation. Science is all about understanding how the world works through observation and experimentation whereas engineering is about applying this knowledge to create new technologies that can improve our lives or solve problems. For something to be considered an invention it must go through rigorous testing to ensure safety before being sold or used by people. This process ensures that products created through engineering meet high standards of quality which makes them very different from scientific discoveries which do not have a set standard for accuracy.
When people think about science and engineering, they often believe that the two are interchangeable. However, this is not true. Science and engineering are both important parts of our world today but there are many differences between them. For example, most engineers do not need to know much about the history of their field while scientists usually have some knowledge of how their discipline came into being. Another difference is that engineers apply what they learn in school to real-world situations whereas scientists more often than not work with theories based on past research or experiments done by others.

Discrimination is making a distinction, based on prejudice or personal opinion. Prejudice is the attitude that one group of people has against another group, usually because they are different from them in some way. Discrimination can be either positive or negative. An example of discrimination would be when landlords refuse to rent apartments to families with children for fear that there will be too much noise and dirt left by the kids after playing outside all day long. This is an example of both prejudice and discrimination: The landlord does not want any tenants who have children regardless if they discriminate positively towards this demographic (e.g., lower prices) so it’s also discriminatory, prejudicial.
