Ever since Disney announced that they would be launching their own streaming service, rumors have been swirling about whether or not they will buy Sony’s movie studio. It all started when it was reported that Disney had approached Sony with a potential acquisition offer in 2019. This is no surprise, considering the fact that Netflix has been dominating the streaming game and Disney wants to get into it as soon as possible. Still, some analysts are skeptical and believe this deal won’t happen anytime soon because of how much money each company stands to lose if the merger were to go through.
